PharmNotts Annual Newsletter 2014/15 Edition

We have just completed our 2014/15 edition of PharmNotts annual Newsletter.

In it, we have some interesting articles of our previous events in 2013/14, articles on coping with stress and university life, food and health related topics ranging from natural remedies, pain and even the most recent global issue of antimicrobial resistance as well as case studies.

PharmNotts Orientation Day 2014/2015

We just had our orientation day for the 2014/2015 academic calendar on the 23rd of September!

Our orientation day involved not only MPharm students, but also students from Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences (PHS) and Biomedical sciences as well. It was a big group but the students mingled around well during our ice breaking sessions and the station games.

We would like to thank the committees, helpers and year 2 students who worked hard in making this event a success. And for juniors, we hope that you had a great time and we wish you guys all the best in your degree life.

A New Beginning

Dear reader,

A Word of Gratitude

As we are going to begin our new term of studies in UNMC, our 2013/14 year 2 seniors will proceed their studies in the UK. Here, we bid farewell and wish them all the best in their studies as well as to enjoy their life in UK. We, the committee members as well as the members of PharmNotts are extremely grateful for all the efforts our seniors had put in to organize all the interesting events in 2013/14.

Lastly, we wish all of our 2013/14 year 2 seniors again good luck in their studies and have fun in UK!

A Commitment We Promise

We would like to apologize for our inactivity in updating this blog. However, we are glad to say that we are reviving this blog again. That is a commitment we, the 2014/15 committee members promise. There will be more frequent posts in the future. This blog will impose no changes to our Facebook page or any other pages.

The purpose of reviving this blog is to create another platform for all members to communicate and to create a harmonious family in PharmNotts. The blog will include topics such as events and updates about our society.

Welcome Note

Even though we have not yet met but we are pleased to invite and welcome all the new members who are  joiing us in PharmNotts this 2014/15. A warm welcome to al the 2014/15 Year 2 mobility students and also our 2014/15 Year 1 MPharm and BSc(Hons) Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences students. We are glad to have all of you as part of our big family in PharmNotts.

PharmNotts is a closed society founded in 2006 by the MPharm students. The main objective of this society is to unite students from the Pharmacy and Bioscience schools while organizing health and medical related events. These events are to promote health awareness and to update medical concerned issues to the public. Of course, PharmNotts is not only all about health and medical related events, we do have our own enjoyment and recreation events, such as Viva La Vida Night etc.

You will enjoy and know more about PharmNotts once you join us. Guess we will be meeting all of you in our coming orientation day on the 23rd of September at F3C09, from 10am to 5pm. Hope you guys will enjoy your first event in PharmNotts!
