11th Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium in Taiwan- Chapter 1

Hello everyone, a few of us from the PharmNotts just came back from the 11th Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium in Taiwan. Me (Magdalene), Hanna Ong, Dana, Cindy from Batch 2012/13 , and Vivian Tan, Vinesh, JinHan, Chloe, Jasmine, Mei Sian, Stephanie from Batch 2011/12 attended this symposium. It was really fun. The Taiwanese Commitee members and the friendly people around the world we met there are all AWESOME! Alright, I'm going to start writing our diaries here.

Day 1
We reached the hotel lobby, registered and got into our own hotel room.The very first event organize by them was the Welcome party. The theme of the party was "high school", where all of the participants around the world were encouraged to wear their high school uniform / club & society uniforms. A few girls from Malaysia wore the blue pinafore, some wore the Malay's Baju Kurung.

The name of each country was shouted one-by-one. MALAYSIA BOLEH! There were quite a lot of Malaysian attended this symposium. They were from UNMC,UCSI, Monash, USM, UM, AIMST etc. A memorable moment when the emcee were holding two umbrellas representing the Twin Tower of Malaysia, our lovely Vivian Tan went foward to hug the emcee.

 The games we played. In this game, we get to know new friends from the crowd (around 300++ participants) as we were required to write down their name and which country they are from.

So what we got from the first day of symposium?

We met new friends around the world from Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia, India, Canada, Thailand, UK, China, etc.

We shared our culture in Malaysia to other friends.

We shared our own stories in Pharmacy course with the others.

Alright, I will continue Chapter 2 later.
